Living without cash

UK resident Mike Boyle has been living without cash for over a year, and manages by being frugal, dumpster diving, and living off the land.  The point is not to run out and adopt his extreme lifestyle;

• Point One is that it can be done, and quite a bit done off the throw-aways from others.
• Point Two is that modern society is too far removed from the source of its food and luxuries to appreciate the amount of labor that goes into its production.
• Point Three is that modern society wastes far more than it uses (and wastes far too much, in general, IMHO)
